I’m thrilled to have a couple of aubergine plants loaded with fruits, flowers and buds, (and a few more strong plants yet to flower, and some young plants that I still have hope for if the UK’s hot summer continues). Though seems silly to have managed to  successionally sow aubergine, but not spring onions…

Anyway, now  I’m looking for tips from the interweb ether. Do I really have to pull off half of those beautiful potential fruit so the plant can focus its energy on a few really good ones – or do I take more smaller offerings – or just let it do its thing, and it will all be good?

The plant pictured  should grow fruits five times the size of that shown, but this one already seems to have lost its purple lustre.  Is it time to take it off, or should I give it more time? Any tips?
